We’re looking for an enthusiastic and technically skilled MER Technical Trainer to join our People Excellence team. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality technical training and coaching across refrigeration and/or electrical trades, helping to develop colleagues at all levels—right up to senior management.

What You'll Be Doing
1. Deliver energetic technical training in the classroom and field.
2. Promote strong health & safety standards.
3. Provide on‑the‑job coaching to support skills development.
4. Identify training needs and support design of blended learning solutions.
5. Support technical assessments for recruitment and progression.
6. Provide reporting on attendance, compliance and training impact.
7. Contribute to technical strategy, especially around new and sustainable technologies.
8. Support new business mobilisations when needed.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
9. Level 2+ Trade Qualification (Electrical/HVAC/Refrigeration)
10. City & Guilds 2079 (FGAS Cat 1)
11. Strong engineering experience, ideally in retail
12. Broad technical experience across Electrical, HVAC and/or Refrigeration
Desirable:
13. 18th Edition, Test & Inspection, CO₂/Hydrocarbon experience
14. Experience with refrigeration systems, heat pumps, controls and PLCs
15. Exposure to sustainable energy systems
16. Experience delivering training (classroom, virtual or on-the-job)
17. Full UK Driving Licence

22. Salary: Up to £58k depending on experience
