The Company
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an accomplished and highly motivated sales leader to make a significant contribution to the strategic and operational growth of this long-standing and highly respected engineering and industrial services group. Our client is a recognised leader in its core sectors - part of a major international Group - with a proud reputation for the supply of high quality, innovative products and services to a broad range of customers in the engineering, manufacturing, ports, renewables, offshore oil and gas, steel, transport and construction industries. With an exciting phase of growth ahead, the business wishes to strengthen its Board team with a dynamic sales leader, to spearhead the drive for sustainable growth, whilst taking the sales division to the next level of performance.
The Role
Reporting to the Group MD, and a key member of the Board, your responsibilities will be as follows:-
* Team Leadership: Lead, coach and mentor the sales team, ensuring business objectives are met and exceeded across all areas
* Sales Strategy: Design, develop and lead the execution of the company’s sales strategy to meet growth, revenue and margin targets
* Revenue Growth: Drive initiatives into new markets, enhancing new customer acquisition opportunities, along with up-sell and cross-sell
* Performance Monitoring: Set sales objectives, monitor KPIs and report on performance metrics to the executive team, identifying areas for improvement
* Customer Management: Build and maintain lasting relationships with key accounts and new prospects to drive sales and customer loyalty
* Forecasting & Reporting: Deliver accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports and strategic insights to the executive board
* Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations and technical, to create integrated service offerings that meet customer needs
* CRM: Utilise CRM software and data driven decision making, to manage and interpret sales and market data, translating into actionable strategies
About You
The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, high achieving sales leader, with an excellent track record of managing sales teams, ideally in an industrial services, engineering or similar style environment. You may currently be a Sales Director, or perhaps an aspiring Head of Sales looking for your next exciting career challenge. Either way, your success will be built upon your first-class sales and people management capability, driving your team to exceed business objectives whilst ensuring the customer experience is of the highest level. Commercially and financially astute, data driven and with excellent relationship, communication and influencing skills, you will be comfortable leading from the front, with the presence, passion, drive and enthusiasm to achieve great things for you, your team and the company.
