Administration Assistant
Location: Goodson Lodge, Trowbridge, BA14 7JG
Pay rate: £12.54 (Mon-Fri), £13.54 (Sat-Sun)
Contracted Hours: 28.5 Hours per week


About the Role

You will support the Home Manager with reception, administrative, and basic finance activities to ensure the smooth running of the home. As the first point of contact, you'll demonstrate professionalism and a welcoming manner to visitors, residents, and staff. Your responsibilities include ensuring visitors follow infection control rules, coordinating testing requirements, organizing couriers, and handling administrative tasks. You'll also assist with planning and managing events such as residents’ milestone birthdays, fetes, employee presentations, and activities led by our Activities Coordinator.

Goodson Lodge is a purpose-built care home in Trowbridge, offering 24-hour person-centred dementia care, residential care, and respite care.

About You

You should have previous administrative or reception experience and be confident with Microsoft Office. Experience handling cash and maintaining reports is essential. Ideally, you will have GCSEs in Maths and English. Most importantly, you should be comfortable working in an elderly care setting, capable of relating to residents with care and sensitivity. The role is busy and varied, requiring efficiency, organization, initiative, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
