CFO Evolution Wing Facilitator

The Growth Company's (GC) Justice Services team is excited to announce a new opportunity for a CFO Evolution Wing Facilitator to join the programme and be based at HMP Wealstun, Leeds.

In this role, you will support individuals in custody through structured group sessions and one-to-one work, helping them prepare for release and rebuild their lives. You’ll deliver a structured six-week course to small groups, working closely with fellow facilitators, prison staff, and peer mentors to support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver engaging and impactful group sessions on topics such as goal setting, social interaction, coping with change, and healthy relationships.
2. Carry out comprehensive initial assessments to identify participant needs, enrol individuals onto the system, and create tailored action plans.
3. Provide one-to-one support to review goals, offer personalised guidance, and ensure accurate documentation.
4. Build genuine, non-judgemental relationships with participants to create a safe and supportive environment.
5. Manage a caseload of participants, balancing group delivery with individual support and administrative responsibilities.
6. Maintain high-quality records of all interactions and progress using internal IT systems.
7. Monitor participant progress through clear objectives, ongoing engagement, and follow-up actions.
8. Work in line with the Health & Safety at Work Act and GC’s Health & Safety Policy.

About You

9. Proven experience delivering structured sessions in a group setting, with the ability to adapt to different needs and dynamics.
10. Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and motivate participants.
11. Clear understanding of safeguarding principles and how to respond to potential risks (training provided).
12. Confident using digital systems and maintaining accurate records to support effective case management.
13. Experience working with offenders or marginalised groups, particularly in justice, training, or counselling settings.
14. Comfortable working in target-driven environments with clear performance expectations.
15. Insight into the challenges of rehabilitation and the barriers individuals face in custody.
16. Familiarity with prison environments and the structure, culture, and safeguarding considerations involved.

Skills Required

17. Ability to create a professional yet approachable presence, building rapport quickly with participants.
18. Strong organisational and time management skills to balance group facilitation, one-to-one support, and admin tasks.
19. Confident in using IT systems to record and manage participant data.
20. Knowledge of local and national training, education, and employment pathways that support rehabilitation.
21. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a complex, high-pressure environment.
22. Creative and adaptable in delivering content that resonates with diverse audiences.
23. Committed to continuous learning and sharing best practice across the team.
