What we are we looking for:
The Senior Finance Manager will be part of the UK Finance team, based in Henley, working in the Corporate Reporting team. The team is responsible for financial accounting and financial reporting activities for the Invesco entities within the UK and Continental Europe and will also support other accounting activities across the group, work with other EMEA and global teams, and on various improvement projects as required.
Your Role
The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for financial accounting and financial reporting activities for the allocated Invesco entities within the UK and Continental Europe. The Senior Finance Manager is the owner of the external and internal financial reporting, including the annual financial statements, and is responsible for the accuracy, completeness and timely delivery of financial information presented. The role also involves leading a small team of Finance Managers responsible for their own portfolios of activities.
Other responsibilities include:
1. Responsibility for accurate and timely closing of the books for allocated entities/workstreams each month by monitoring inputs from Global Business Services (GBS) Shared Service Centre and overseeing the preparation of US GAAP and local GAAP financial reporting.
2. Preparation of local GAAP annual report, financial statements including appendices and other reports and analyses as needed.
3. Overseeing and supporting the preparation by GBS of ad-hoc and quarterly Board reporting packages and present these to the relevant Board(s).
4. Responsibility for coordinating the completion of the local statutory audit.

What you can bring:
8. Solid accounting and financial reporting experience, ideally within the Asset Management industry, with extensive experience in period-end closing of books.
9. Excellent knowledge of local accounting standards (UK and Continental Europe) and excellent knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS, as well as a good understanding of regulatory and tax requirements.
10. Experienced user of ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
11. Experience in managing people and teams to deliver against challenging targets
