Press Brake Operative Location: DerbySalary: £31,000 £33,900 shift allowanceJob Type: Full-time, permanentShifts: Rotating early and late shifts----------------------------------------About the Role We are working with a well-established and growing precision manufacturing business operating in a highly regulated environment. They are looking for a skilled Press Brake Operative to join their production team.This role offers variety, combining press brake and power press operations with opportunities to support across multiple manufacturing processes. Its ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on role within a fast-paced production setting.----------------------------------------Key Responsibilities Press Brake & Press Operations Operate press brake and power press machinery in line with work instructionsSet up tooling, dies, and adjust machine parameters as requiredInterpret engineering drawings, job cards, and specifications accuratelyCarry out first-off and in-process inspection checksPerform routine equipment checks and basic maintenanceIdentify and report faults, defects, or non-conformance issuesMulti-Process Manufacturing Support Support additional processes such as paint, degreasing, and spray applicationsFollow detailed process instructions and quality standardsEnsure correct handling and traceability of componentsMaintain accurate production and quality recordsProvide cover across other manufacturing areas when requiredQuality & Continuous Improvement Maintain high quality standards at all timesIdentify and escalate non-conforming products or processesContribute to continuous improvement and 5S initiatives----------------------------------------About You Previous experience as a Press Brake Operative or similar manufacturing roleExperience with power press machinery is highly desirableAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentsStrong attention to detail and quality-driven approachFlexible and adaptable across multiple production processesComfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsDesirable:Experience within aerospace or precision engineeringFamiliarity with surface treatment or finishing processes----------------------------------------Working Hours Two-shift rotation:Early Shift: Monday Thursday 6:00am 2:00pm, Friday 6:00am 1:00pmLate Shift: Monday Thursday 2:00pm 10:00pm, Friday 9:00am 4:00pm----------------------------------------Whats on Offer Competitive salary plus shift allowanceOpportunity to work in a skilled, regulated manufacturing environmentTraining and development across multiple processesLong-term career stability within a growing organisation----------------------------------------Apply Now If youre an experienced Press Brake Operative looking for a varied and rewarding role, wed love to hear from you.Due to the high volume of applications, if you do not hear back within 5 working days, please consider your application unsuccessful.
