Electrical Engineering Apprentice (Level 6) – Power & Lighting (London / Birmingham / Leeds / Manchester)

About this apprenticeship
Jacobs operates on a learning‑by‑doing model, providing on‑the‑job training with the latest software tools and exposure to projects from concept to construction. As an apprentice you will support the preparation of feasibility studies, scheme reports, impact assessments and detailed designs for public and private sector lighting and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
* Assist with feasibility studies, scheme reports and impact assessments.
* Produce detailed designs to support lighting and electrical system enhancements.
* Learn and apply industry‑standard software tools.
* Collaborate with senior engineers and clients to understand requirements.
* Participate in project meetings and contribute to the project lifecycle.
What we’re looking for
* A minimum of 120 UCAS tariff points, including a grade B in A‑level Mathematics or equivalent.
* A flexible, proactive and self‑starter with a passion for learning new skills.
* Strong organisational skills to juggle work and study priorities.
* Enthusiasm for applying skills to solve real‑world problems.
* Good listening and empathy skills to understand client requirements.
* Desirable experience outside engineering (e.g., sports, volunteering) demonstrating a well‑rounded personality.
* Permanent right to work in the UK.
