Robert Half is recruiting a Financial Controller for our SME manufacturing client in Hertfordshire. The position will be hired on an interim basis for up to 6 months, with potential to become permanent.
The position of Financial Controller will be varied and require somebody with a hands-on approach, they key duties are as follows;
* Ensure integrity and control of primary financial systems
* Maintain oversight and control of the balance sheet
* Ensure compliance with Segregation of Duties
* Manage provision calculations, including, Inventory provision and Capitalised material variance
* Bad debt and credit notes. Generate E&O and bad debt reports quarterly
* Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
* Coordinate and direct budget preparation and financial forecasts; report variances
* Create and validate closing trial balances, including analysis and account reconciliations
* Submit all payments and monthly reports to finance, along with sales and margin reporting
* Prepare financial forecasts (P&L and Cash Flow)
* Prepare annual budgets and support strategic planning
* Deliver weekly site performance and cash flow reports
* Oversee costing and inventory management
* Perform cost roll-ups and daily part costing
* Manage annual overhead rate calculations
* Supervise perpetual and full stock counts, including reporting and aged stock disposals
* Coordinate year-end audit with statutory auditors and support external audits, annual accounts preparation, and corporate tax filings.
* Qualified Accountant - essential
* Manufacturing / Engineering background - preferred
The position of Financial Controller will be paying up to £70k equivalent, and will be hired on an hybrid working basis. This is considered an urgent requirement.
