ABC Teachers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Kidderminster, starting January 2026 📅. This is a full-time role supporting children and young people from primary through to post-16 with complex and profound learning needs.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, personalised support to pupils with a wide range of special educational needs ❤️. Working closely with teaching staff and professionals, you will help students access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing tailored one-to-one and small group support to pupils with complex and profound learning needs
* Supporting the delivery of individualised education and care plans
* Encouraging engagement, communication, and independence 🌱
* Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and external professionals 🤝
* Promoting pupils’ emotional wellbeing

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant you will:
* Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN or educational setting
* Experience supporting individuals with complex or additional needs
* A caring, patient, and adaptable approach 💛
* Relevant qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care, or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable but not essential)
* The ability to provide suitable references and successfully obtain an enhanced DBS check ✅
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* Experience in SEND setting
