A) To be aware of the National Minimum Standards (and any subsequent statutory requirements) related to Daily Life and Social Activities.
b) To be aware of the social and recreational needs of the residents as recorded in their care plan.
c) To plan and implement appropriate in-house activities on a one to one, small group or large group basis which stimulate and enhance the lives of the residents.
d) To plan and organise trips to appropriate places and make contact with outside bodies who can visit the home to entertain/educate/stimulate/spiritually uplift the residents.
e) To keep written and photographic records in line with the homes record keeping policy.
f) To develop good relationships with residents friends/relatives and inform them when opportunities arise about activities experienced.
g) To work successfully as part of the care team
h) To plan, organise and store resources necessary for successfully carrying out his/her role.
i) To mount attractive displays about activity events
j) To closely liaise with the home manager/nurse in
a. charge to ensure that good communication,
b. planning and organisation is achieved related to all
c. activities.
