Salary: £53,906
Hours of work: 42.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 9.30pm to 6.00am

An exciting opportunity is available for a Multi-skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join the Engineering team based at Diss. It is a fantastic time to join and play a key role in realising our ambitious growth plans.
Role Profile
The role of the Engineer is to carry out all aspects of plant maintenance and repair to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the mills production and intake systems, in order to minimise downtime and deliver business objectives.
As an engineer you should be able to proactively carry out all aspects of plant maintenance to a planned schedule, seeking solutions where abnormalities occur. This requires consistently liaising with the mill team addressing breakdowns or interruptions to production and dealing promptly with any issues, escalating where necessary. An essential aspect of the role is the initiative to drive continuous improvement, reviewing current methodology and opportunities to improve the mills efficiency, safety, quality and performance.
As part of your daily duties, you must ensure all relevant maintenance records are accurately recorded to ensure legal compliance and to ensure a safe working environment.
Person Specification
To be successful in this role, the desired candidate should ideally have a qualification/apprenticeship in both mechanical and electrical fields and be at minimum 17th Edition certified. As an experienced engineer, you will have an excellent understanding of working with strict safety and quality control procedures and KPI's. A good knowledge of Star Delta and PLC would be of benefit. In addition to this you should have an understanding of Safe Isolation process.
You should also be able to demonstrate good experience of implementing both short term and long-term solutions and projects in an engineering function covering both electrical and mechanical equipment.
