Regional Operations Director – London and Northern Home Counties Function: Star Pubs Location: Field Based - due to the nature of the work and to ensure you can achieve the right work-life balance, we’re looking for someone who lives in or close to this area. Salary: c£100,000 (depending on experience) plus 15% of base salary as a benefits allowance plus annual commercial bonus, in addition to full benefits listed below. We’re seeking a Regional Operations Director for our London and Northern Home Counties Region—a role that offers outstanding opportunities for personal and professional development as part of our South Leadership team. About the role Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Regional Operations Director will play an active role on the South Leadership team. This position is responsible for inspiring, guiding, and supporting a team of eight Business Development Managers (Regional Managers), as well as collaborating with wider support teams like Property and Estates. You will oversee a portfolio of approximately 375 pubs, focusing on building sustainable businesses while ensuring compliance with company policies and the Pubs Code regulations. Achieving success in this role means cultivating a high-performing team culture that takes ownership for delivering results within a regulated setting. We’re seeking a leader who can motivate the team to continually enhance the quality of our estate by fostering strong partnerships with our licensees and executing a focused Capex program. The ability to develop and implement a winning local strategy will be essential for the ideal candidate. About you This is a leadership role first and foremost and success will be delivered through the regional team via your leadership, therefore our HEINEKEN Behaviours are integral to success. The successful candidate will need recent proven ability to inspire and coach an experienced team, along with a supportive and encouraging nature that will allow you to create an environment that truly drives high performance. You’ll be able to pull on the experience of working within a framework and creating strategies, using market data to shape your direction, and being open to taking balanced risks where appropriate. A collaborative approach and an ability to take others with you is essential. You’ll be able to articulate what talent looks like and how you nurture it. Pulling on your experience of situational leadership, you’ll know how to get the best out of your team giving examples of both coaching and challenging both in a team and individual environment. You’ll value the importance of being able to attract and develop a pipeline of diverse talent for your region, with an emphasis on gender balance.
