Electrical Engineer – British Gypsum – Sherburn, East Yorkshire
Join British Gypsum as an Electrical Engineer to lead a team and manage electrical equipment across our manufacturing facility in Sherburn.
Day‑to‑day you will collaborate with performance teams to ensure site reliability, deliver on time, manage WCM activities, project‑manage continuous improvement opportunities, and coordinate maintenance planning with production, SLT, and other stakeholders.
Safety is a priority: you'll play a key role in ensuring the safety of your team and the site, while driving the development of your staff through training and development plans.
We are looking for a professional with a strong background in leading teams in the delivery of electrical engineering activities for a large manufacturing business.
Qualifications
* Qualified ideally to degree level; all routes to qualification considered.
* Strong understanding and experience managing safety in industrial environments.
* Practical electrical engineering experience in a comparable environment.
* Experience managing others, including performance management, appraisals, objective setting, training, and development plans.
* Project management and excellent planning skills.
* Excellent communication and ability to influence and manage stakeholders.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple simultaneous priorities.
* Knowledge and experience using WCM and CI methodologies.
