Hours: 22.2 hours per week (3 days), 42 weeks per year (Term Time + 3 Weeks)
Grade: Band 5, Scale Points 19 – 24
Salary (FTE): £31,067 - £34,314 Per Annum
Actual Salary: £17,313.88 - £19,123.46 Per Annum

We are seeking to employ a dedicated and passionate Lay Chaplain to work within our trust. This is a reserved post, and the successful candidate must be a practising Catholic who is committed to deepening the spiritual life of our school communities.

The Role
As Lay Chaplain, you will lead the spiritual growth of students, staff, and families across multiple schools. You’ll foster a strong Catholic ethos, organise liturgical events, and provide pastoral care. Working with the Headteacher, you’ll help shape the Catholic Life of the school and implement its vision.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead prayers, liturgies, and worship, meeting the spiritual needs of the community.
* Offer pastoral care and spiritual guidance to students, staff, and families.
* Support the RE curriculum and integrate Catholic values into school life.
Ideal Candidate
* Strong knowledge of Catholic faith, liturgy, and traditions.
* Excellent communicator, able to engage and inspire.
* Collaborative and inclusive approach.
* Able to organize spiritual events and liturgical celebrations.
