Position Summary & Objective
The Electro-Mechanical Technician will conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing of all facility machines and equipment, including cleaning, parts removal, and reinstallation. The role involves applying preventative measures to minimize potential problems and safety hazards.
Accountabilities
* On-call duty on a rotating weekly basis.
* Produce accurate, thorough work; adapt to changing conditions.
* Meet productivity goals and adhere to schedules.
* Maintain and expand job knowledge; learn new skills.
* Work independently; suggest improvements; complete tasks efficiently.
* Follow safety policies and maintain cleanliness.
* Maintain good attendance; notify supervisors of issues promptly.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
Essential Functions
* Analyze mechanical and operational issues; implement corrective actions.
* Perform adjustments to ensure maximum efficiency.
* Test equipment for safe and reliable operation.
* Verify equipment function after repairs or downtime.
* Conduct preventive maintenance and report findings.
* Identify and address defects and causes of spoilage.
* Report recurring issues and safety concerns.
* Train and supervise maintenance trainees.
* Perform upgrade work, including painting and building maintenance.
* Assist with equipment installation and commissioning.
* Set up, adjust, and maintain production machinery and tools.
* Diagnose and repair machinery using schematics and manuals.
* Operate metalworking tools for parts fabrication and repair.
* Wire and troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, sensors, and PLCs.
* Identify root causes of mechanical and electrical issues quickly.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a technical school, or five years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
