We are recruiting a Product Marketing Executive (Maternity Cover) to support the marketing team of a busy successful business based in Kidderminster. The role will report into the Head of Marketing.
Fixed-term maternity cover from April to November (with potential extension, up to a maximum of 9 months). Ideally, we want someone who can start in February/March to do a full handover.
Job Purpose
The Product Marketing Executive will provide comprehensive support to the Head of Marketing, Sales Directors, and Brand teams during a period of maternity cover. The role is responsible for managing product activity from inception through to launch and ongoing lifecycle management, alongside delivering core marketing initiatives. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role requiring a balance of creative capability and strong organisational and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Support the successful launch of products to market, including preparation of technical specifications, photography samples, launch documentation, and briefing of sampling and campaign materials, in conjunction with the Marketing Communications Executive.
Manage Buying Group communications for allocated brands, working closely with the Marketing Communications Executive.
Assist in the planning and delivery of trade shows and exhibitions in collaboration with the wider marketing team.
Maintain brand websites and sales portals, ensuring all content is accurate and up to date, and liaise with the IT team to resolve any technical issues.
Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistent representation and adherence to brand guidelines across all materials and channels.
Undertake additional duties as required to support the wider marketing department, recognising the need for flexibility within a small, collaborative team.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills :
3–4 years’ experience in a B2C marketing role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from senior management to end users.
Strong attention to detail, including proofreading and quality control.
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to identify tasks and take initiative.
Creative aptitude and an interest in flooring or interior design is desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
