About the role To ensure the efficient setup, operation, and maintenance of food production machinery in accordance with company standards, safety regulations, and production schedules. The Machine Setter plays a key role in minimising downtime and ensuring consistent product quality. Main Responsibilities: Machine Setup & Calibration: Set up and adjust food processing and packaging machinery according to product specifications and production plans. Calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with food safety standards. Operational Support: Monitor machine performance during production runs. Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to prevent production delays. Collaborate with maintenance teams for more complex repairs. Quality & Compliance: Conduct routine checks to ensure products meet quality and hygiene standards. Maintain accurate records of machine settings, adjustments, and production output. Adhere to HACCP, GMP, and other food safety protocols. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve machine efficiency and reduce waste. Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on equipment and safety procedures. Package Description: Machine Setter - Nights Hourly rate of £12.30 ph rising to £13.84 once fully trained.
