THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in technical theatre or event production, confident with sound, lighting and AV systems. You will be responsible for the technical execution of all school events, maintaining our equipment, and supporting students and staff in the delivery of the performing arts curriculum and ready to contribute fully to a busy school community. Key Responsibilities: Production & Design: Design and operate lighting, sound and AV for all school shows. You’ll manage everything from ‘front of house’ to ‘backstage’, including projection, stage effects and set building. Curriculum Support: Work directly with students and staff to support lessons, film practical work for examinations, and oversee the technical requirements for Dance, Drama and Music. Event Management: Act as the lead technical contact for external organisations hiring our theatre and manage the setup for daily school events. AMBITION, RESPECT, CARE Maintenance & Safety: Ensure our equipment (rigging, AV, instruments) is safe, functional and stored correctly. You will coordinate PAT testing, conduct risk assessments and manage the technical budget. Innovation: Advise the department on the latest technical developments.
