Adult & Paediatric Crisis Worker - Darlaston
The role of Crisis Worker is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required.
Acting as the advocate for patients who attend the centre, you will empower service users to feel in control and support them during the forensic process to manage patient care pathways.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Being the first point of contact for service users.
2. Supporting the process for service users and their families visiting the centre, including preparing the patient and assisting in collecting forensic evidence.
3. Ensuring a high standard of DNA contamination prevention between forensic cases (cleaning).
4. Assisting patients and liaising with other agencies regarding the management of the service user pathway.
5. Supporting preparation, service user support, and acting as an advocate during their time at the SARC.
6. Being a key team member within the SARC and the wider company network.

Job responsibilities
Location: The Willow Tree SARC, Darlaston
Additional Locations: West Midlands region
Salary: Shift retainers of £45.84 (Monday - Friday) and £57.94-£60.36 (Saturday - Sunday), plus call-out pay at £15.85 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours.
Rota Patterns: Shifts are 7am-7pm, 7pm-7am, with coverage including days, nights, and weekends.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Applicants must be female due to the nature of the Sexual Offence Examiner role, under the Sex Discrimination Act, Sections 7(2)b and 7(2)e.
* A UK driving license and access to a vehicle are required, as travel across SARCs may be necessary.
* Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting are mandatory.
Experience
* Basic IT and administrative skills.
* Experience in a supportive or customer-focused environment.
* Kind, caring nature and understanding of confidentiality.
