Join a leading UK supplier of confined space and site safety equipment as an experienced Gas Engineer specialising in Gas Detection and Location Systems to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities for the Gas Engineer Inspect, service, repair, and calibrate gas detection and location systems. Act as the technical lead for your product category, ensuring compliance with legislation and manufacturer requirements. Review and approve calibration and service documentation. Investigate equipment faults, failures, and customer issues. Provide technical support to internal teams and customers (phone, email, onsite). Mentor engineers and trainees, supporting skills development. Conduct quality checks and contribute to process improvements. Maintain accurate records in Syrinx and support hire/sales order processing. Uphold workshop safety, housekeeping, and operational standards. Deputise for the Workshop Manager when required.
