Electrical Project Manager About the Project We are currently delivering a major commercial development — a high-specification school / hospital project — and are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team on a freelance basis. This is a key role overseeing all electrical activities on site, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery within programme and budget. Key Responsibilities * Manage and coordinate all on-site electrical works, including subcontractors and direct labour teams * Review and interpret electrical drawings, designs, and technical specifications, ensuring correct installation to project standards * Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain quality, compliance, and adherence to electrical regulations (BS7671) * Work closely with the Construction Manager, MEP Manager, and wider project team to ensure smooth integration of all building services * Implement and monitor health & safety procedures – ensuring RAMS, PPE, permits, and safe systems of work are in place * Oversee testing, inspection, and commissioning phases; review and sign off all relevant documentation * Track progress against programme, identify potential risks or delays, and implement mitigation plans * Support handover, snagging, and defect resolution activities to ensure client satisfaction * Maintain accurate daily/weekly records including labour, materials, progress, and site reports * Attend and contribute to coordination, design, and progress meetings with internal and external stakeholders Required Qualifications & Skills * Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Project Manager or Senior Electrical Site Manager on commercial developments (schools, hospitals, healthcare, or public buildings preferred) * Strong background in delivering complex electrical packages from installation through to commissioning and handover * Valid ECS Gold Card * SMSTS or SSSTS certification * Excellent understanding of building services coordination, health & safety, and quality control * Full UK Driving Licence To Apply Please send your most recent CV and project portfolio to apply for the Electrical Project Manager – Commercial (School / Hospital Project) role
