Overview
Security Officer at Securitas. Location: Horley, UK. Pay: £12.60 per hour. Hours: 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off night shift. From day one, you’ll gain access to Learning and Development opportunities, Mentorship, and a range of benefits.
This role involves patrolling, gatehouse duties, and serving as a friendly, professional presence for clients. You’ll work on behalf of one of the world’s leading aerospace and defence organizations, with opportunities to learn, grow, and make a difference on every shift.

Responsibilities
* Alarm Response: Respond promptly and professionally to alarm activations, conduct site checks, and report incidents.
* Keyholding: Securely hold and manage keys for client sites, ensuring access is controlled and authorised personnel only enter premises.
* Locks & Unlocks: Perform scheduled locking and unlocking of buildings to ensure secure opening and closing procedures are followed.
* Escort Duties: Safely escort staff, contractors, or visitors on-site, especially during out-of-hours or in high-risk environments.
* Mobile Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of multiple client sites using company vehicles, ensuring premises are secure and reporting any signs of damage or intrusion.
* Incident Reporting: Record all site visits, incidents, and observations accurately using company systems or logs.
* Customer Service: Maintain a visible, approachable presence and deliver excellent customer service.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company and client policies, including health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
* A valid SIA licence.
* Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
* The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
* Manual driving licence and access to own vehicle (where applicable).
* Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
