CNC Machinists - Multiple opportunities for day shift CNC Miller and CNC Turners with this revitalised and fast growing subcontract aerospace precision engineering company.
As part of our commitment to producing high-quality aerospace components, you will play a crucial role in setting, operating, and programming CNC lathes and milling machines to meet precise specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting and operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines.
Programming and setting machines using Fanuc or Heidenhain control systems.
Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Conducting quality checks on finished components using various measuring instruments to ensure compliance with required tolerances.
Performing routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues.
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Collaborating with the wider team to ensure schedules are met and quality standards are upheld.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Ideally you will have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship, OR Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Turner or CNC Miller.
Proven, in-depth experience with Fanuc controls (Lathes) or experience with Heidenhain controls (Mills) is required.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30
Friday: 07:30 - 12:30
Desirable Skills:
Proficiency in using CAM software (e.g., Autodesk Fusion 360) for offline programming.
Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
