GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEND KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Nottingham. This role offers the chance to provide tailored support to children in Key Stage 2, helping them to engage in lessons, build confidence, and achieve their potential. Role Overview: As a SEND KS2 TA, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support for pupils with additional needs. You will assist with learning activities, promote positive behaviour, and ensure all pupils feel included and supported throughout the school day. As a SEND KS2 TA, you will: Provide targeted support to KS2 pupils with SEND in lessons and small group work. Assist in delivering interventions across literacy, numeracy, and other core subjects. Encourage participation, independence, and positive learning behaviours. Help adapt resources and activities to suit individual learning styles. Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCO. Support with classroom organisation and contribute to a positive learning environment. Requirements for SEND KS2 Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with children with SEND, ideally within a KS2 setting. A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable. Strong interpersonal, communication, and behaviour management skills. A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
