Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Full-Time Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial transactions for 2 Companies. The successful candidate must have extensive, hands-on experience using Sage Line 50 and be capable of managing accounts up to trial balance.
Key Responsibilities
* Sage Management: Maintain accurate financial records daily using Sage Line 50.
* Reconciliations: Perform daily bank, credit card, and supplier statement reconciliations.
* Ledger Control: Manage the sales and purchase ledgers, including processing invoices and chasing outstanding debts. Also producing CIS returns.
* VAT Returns: Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns via Sage in compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) rules.
* Financial Reporting: Produce monthly management reports, profit & loss summaries, and prepare accounts up to trial balance for year-end review.
* Payroll Support: Assist with or manage monthly payroll processing and pension contributions
Requirements & Qualifications
* Software Mastery: Minimum 23 years of proven experience explicitly working with Sage Line 50 .
* Experience: A strong background in a full-time bookkeeping or accounting clerk role.
* Qualifications: AAT (Level 4) or ICB/IAB certifications are highly desirable but qualified by experience (QBE) will be considered.
* Local: Must be within a commutable distance to East Grinstead.
* Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
