Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Head of IT Infrastructure and Security for a fast growing legal company in Liverpool.
This role will be based on site in central Liverpool - whilst there hybrid working once settled in, we will not consider candidates looking for full remote!
* Essential Skills:Proven senior leadership experience in Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, or IT Operations.
* Strong experience in Microsoft 365, Azure, Azure AD, Windows Server, networking, security tooling, and hybrid cloud environments
* Deep understanding of security frameworks (Cyber Essentials+, NIST, ISO27001)
* Experience delivering secure environments in a regulated industry—ideally legal, financial, or professional services
* Strong knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response
* Excellent stakeholder management and ability to translate technical detail into business language
Role Purpose:
The Head of Infrastructure & Security is responsible for the strategy, delivery, and ongoing improvement of all core technology infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity frameworks across the organisation.
Operating within a regulated legal environment, the role ensures that all systems are secure, resilient, compliant, and optimised to support legal casework, fee-earning operations, and business growth.
This leader provides both technical authority and strategic oversight, driving continuous improvement in line with Cyber Essentials Plus, GDPR, SRA requirements, ISO27001 best practices, and wider information governance standards.
