Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations, including inventory control, storage, distribution, and logistics. This role ensures operational efficiency, safety compliance, and timely order fulfilment while leading and developing a team of Warehouse colleagues. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline warehouse operations. Optimise warehouse layout and storage to ensure organized, efficient space utilization. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation. Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to manage stock replenishment. Collaborate with the Logistics Team to plan and manage inventory movement across the EMEA region. Monitor order fulfilment processes and ensure timely dispatch and delivery. Manage returns, damaged goods, and reverse logistics. Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff, promoting a safe and productive working environment. Assign tasks, monitor employee performance, and manage holidays, absences, and expenses. Enforce health and safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse. Generate reports on warehouse performance, stock levels, and fulfilment rates using WMS. Analyse operational data to identify trends and implement process improvements. Control operational costs and manage the warehouse budget efficiently. Allocate resources effectively to improve cost-efficiency and productivity. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (e.g., PUWER, WAHR, HSWA). Conduct safety training, risk assessments, and maintain a clean, organised warehouse environment. Skills and Experience Proven Warehouse & Logistics management related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software – SAP preferrable but not essential Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management. Familiarity with barcode scanning or RFID systems, and automated inventory tracking. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) especially Teams Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
