Central Employment is working with an established and growing Consumer Goods organisation, industry leaders in their respected category, with a global customer and partner reach. They have a new opportunity for a Junior Graphic Designer to support their in-house Marketing team on all things creative.
Junior Graphic Designer:
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll contribute creative ideas to bring products to life, produce sketches and computer-based designs, and work on both digital and print projects. With a strong eye for detail and precision, you’ll also have strong typography and communication skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
2. Working with a range of media.
3. Copywriting and proofreading to produce accurate, high-quality work.
4. Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches to develop concepts and ideas.
5. Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and software, particularly design programmes such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver.
6. Staying updated on technical design and digital trends.
7. Understanding how design integrates with other digital channels and disciplines like UX, CRO, content management, and web development.
Experience Required:
1. Approximately 2 years’ creative and digital design experience, preferably within a creative agency or FMCG organisation.
2. A creative mindset with an eye for detail and precision.
3. Ability to meet strict deadlines.
4. HTML/CSS experience is desirable.
5. Understanding of Shopify.
6. Knowledge of designing for responsive websites.
Locations and Salary:
* North East — Permanent — Up to £38,000 DOE
* Newcastle upon Tyne — Permanent — Up to £46,000 DOE
* Newcastle upon Tyne — Permanent — Up to £32,000 DOE
* North East — Permanent — Up to £45,000 DOE
