Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The business has a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties. With modern dairy manufacturing facilities in 8 locations on a cross-border basis, The Group supplies to a broad customer base including world-renowned dairy food ingredients, foodservice and consumer channels across Ireland, the UK, Europe and globally. Internationally, The Group exports around 240 products to over 100 countries. The Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility delivering feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.
Applications are invited for the above position that will be based at our Artigarvan Site in County Tyrone.
The Role
As a key member of our Group HR Team, the successful applicant will act as a trusted advisor and strategic, operational partner to the business. Working closely with our Head of HR NI/UK and other HR colleagues, this individual will support a consistent and transparent adoption of people policies and practices across the business and our Artigarvan site. A strong and confident communicator, the HR Business Partner will thrive as the lead HR ambassador for their site while building trusted relationships with all stakeholders and employees. This is a rare and rewarding opportunity for an ambitious HR Professional to make their mark across a busy production site while developing a reputation as a site HR champion.
Responsibilities
 * Provide a professional and dedicated HR advisory service to the Artigarvan site and other Lakeland Dairy sites if/when required.
 * Support and guide the investigation and resolution of employee relations issues including grievances and disciplinary matters.
 * Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with departments within the business, establishing professional credibility and trust.
 * Support site recruitment requirements including interview involvement, job description creation and Company onboarding process.
 * Promote best practice, people processes and systems for Performance Management and Employee Wellbeing, as part of a HR approach to Continuous Improvement.
 * Work alongside the Group Talent Team, supporting the implementation of the talent strategy including succession planning management, Personal Development Plans (PDP) and career development processes.
 * Design and implement initiatives to develop and promote employee engagement and communications.
 * Support the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion agenda across HR processes to ensure employees feel valued for their contribution at all times.
 * Action and support specific HR projects to support the delivery of the overall Business and People Strategy.
 * Update HR policies and procedures in line with best practice and relevant employment legislation in collaboration with HR Business Partners across NI sites.
Qualifications
 * 3rd level qualification in Human Resource Management, Level 5 CIPD or working towards this.
 * Experience from within a busy HR role of a similar level, performing administrative duties, meeting tight deadlines and advising others in NI/UK legislation.
 * Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
 * Excellent attention to detail, communication and relationship management skills.
 * A postgraduate degree in HR management (CIPD level 7) with experience in a manufacturing environment and/or working in a unionized environment would be advantageous.
