Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Principal Hydrologist in one of our UK offices, whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. This role involves managing resources and identifying training requirements across our northern modelling teams. It is a new role, open for your development, supported by a national modelling community.
Here's what you'll do:
1. Deliver: Lead flood hydrological assessments assisting flood alleviation schemes, flood risk assessments, or Environment Agency flood maps. Review hydrological assessment reports.
2. Quality: Stay updated with legislation and guidelines affecting our services. Apply industry standards like FEH to estimate flood flows across England.
3. Collaboration: Build relationships with clients and technical teams. Support business development for national and international projects.
4. Support: Mentor team members in hydrological estimation to aid their professional growth.
5. Lead: Represent AECOM at conferences, promote innovation, and be an active member of our hydrologists' community.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
* Chartered member of ICE or CIWEM.
* Extensive experience in flood flow estimation using FEH and REFH2, including rating reviews.
* Strong statistical hydrological analysis skills.
* Experience working with hydraulic models for calibration.
* Proficient in GIS tools like QGIS, ArcGIS, or MapInfo, and familiar with Hydrology+.
