The Role
* Lead the identification, assessment, and monitoring of pupils with SEND
* Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
* Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation
* Support and train staff in effective SEND strategies, differentiation, and inclusive teaching practices
* Monitor pupil progress and wellbeing, adapting provision where required
* Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals to ensure positive outcomes for pupils
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* SENDCo qualification or willingness to undertake the accreditation
* Experience coordinating SEND provision within a complex educational setting
* Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education
* Ability to lead and support staff effectively
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
