Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis to join our culinary team. Candidate must be available to work at least five days a week. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. Duties
* Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
* Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
* Prepare ingredients and assist with plating of dishes for service
* Follow recipes accurately and adhere to food safety standards at all times
* Assist in managing stock levels, receiving deliveries, and storing ingredients appropriately
* Contribute to maintaining a positive and efficient team environment
* Support supervising staff when required, ensuring smooth workflow during busy periods
* Uphold hospitality standards by ensuring all dishes meet quality expectations before serving

Requirements
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment or hospitality setting is preferred
* Knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
* Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience is advantageous

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Team management experience is desirable, with an emphasis on collaboration and communication
* Good understanding of restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service principles
* Passion for culinary arts with a desire to learn and grow within the hospitality industry
* Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are a plus but not essential
