ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and qualified Outreach Tutor to deliver individualised education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people across Buckinghamshire who are currently not attending mainstream school.
As an Outreach Tutor, you will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored English and Maths lessons designed to bridge gaps in learning, boost confidence, and improve attainment. Students will range from Primary age up to Year 11, and many will have experienced disrupted education due to their SEN.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher or experienced tutor who wants to move away from the traditional classroom setting and provide meaningful, student-led learning experiences. Many of the pupils you'll support have been disengaged from education for extended periods, so your role will involve reintroducing structure and enjoyment back into learning.

Full-time/part-time - Flexible - part-time and full-time options available
Minimum rate of pay - From £25 per hour
Hours - Typically between 1 to 3 hours per sessionEXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent teaching qualification preferred
Minimum 6 months+ experience working within a UK school or similar educational setting
Strong experience supporting learners with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and trauma-informed approaches
Experience teaching English and Maths
Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last 12 months TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or be willing to apply for one)
Provide two professional references (child-related, covering the last two years)OTHER
