The Role
As a Fire Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering fire safety strategies and engineering solutions for complex building projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams, providing expert guidance to ensure compliance with UK fire safety regulations and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Develop fire strategies and fire engineering reports for a range of building types
Carry out fire modelling, evacuation analysis, and smoke control assessments
Provide technical fire safety advice to clients, architects, and project teams
Review building designs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Liaise with approving authorities and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
Support risk assessments and contribute to performance-based fire safety solutions
Requirements
Degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
Experience working in fire engineering or fire safety consultancy
Knowledge of UK Building Regulations (Approved Document B) and fire safety standards
Experience with fire modelling or simulation software is advantageous
Strong analytical and report-writing skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
