As a Proposal Manager, you’ll play a key role in Northrop Grumman’s ‘Bid Engine’, supporting business development and capture managers to deliver successful tenders. You’ll oversee the proposal process from pre-proposal preparation through to post-submittal, ensuring timely delivery and quality. You’ll work across all NGUKL customer accounts, managing bids in areas such as next-generation Air Force, cyber security, ISR, communications, radar, and command and control – from small research projects to multi-million-pound, multi-year deals. What You’ll Do Drive the generation of proposals, defining structure, schedules, and responsibilities. Manage contributions from subject matter experts to create competitive, market-leading submissions. Monitor progress to ensure compliance with RFP requirements and internal processes. Coordinate cost, scheduling, and performance inputs from functional departments. Develop tools and techniques to enhance bid quality and adopt best practices. Lead internal reviews to ensure proposals represent our capabilities and approach effectively. What We’re Looking For Essential: Experience in formal tendering processes and procurement portals (e.g., Award, Bravo). Proven ability to produce complex bid documentation and progress reporting. Strong leadership and people management experience. Desired: Previous experience in commercial or government proposal work. Familiarity with online tender submission tools.
