Job Role
We're looking for exceptional people to join our National Careers Service Team, either as a trainee or a qualified Careers Adviser.
We seek individuals who enjoy helping others, come from backgrounds such as sales, teaching, or recruitment, or have experience in delivering careers advice. An engaging personality and a can-do attitude are essential to provide a warm, welcoming experience and help customers progress in their careers.
The role requires flexibility, as each day varies. You will make customers feel comfortable, engage with diverse backgrounds, hold 1-1 appointments and group workshops in various settings, and manage your diary and admin tasks confidently using IT. The role is target-driven to meet objectives set with our commissioners.
Your skills will empower customers to develop career plans, support their learning and development, and monitor progress to build confidence as they start work or learning opportunities.
We provide on-the-job training and support to achieve your Level 4 Certificate in Careers Information and Guidance if you do not already hold it.
In return, we offer a competitive salary of £26,000 - £29,545 per annum, along with benefits including:

Key Responsibilities

* Understand the local labour market and advise on opportunities
* Develop relationships with stakeholders to maximize referrals, including community groups, Job Centre Plus, and local authorities
* Deliver group sessions in various settings such as career events and job fairs

Skills and Experience
* Minimum Level 4 qualification in Careers, Information, Advice and Guidance, or willingness to work towards it
* Good knowledge of the local labour market
* Experience in a target-driven environment
* Knowledge of the careers and employability industry
* Knowledge of the recruitment industry
* Experience working with people in advice and guidance roles
* Full driving license for deployment across regions, if required
