Job Summary
Pill Pharmacy is an Independent Community Pharmacy based in Newport, seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team. Community Pharmacy is undergoing an exciting expansion, offering more clinical services to improve healthcare access. We aim to expand our NHS and Private services and are looking to fill positions for a Qualified Accredited Checking Technician and a Qualified Dispensing Technician. Candidates must be GPHC registered.
We have two full-time positions available. Working hours are 9 am to 6 pm during weekdays, with occasional Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Dispensing Medications: Assisting in the preparation and dispensing of prescribed medications accurately.
2. Patient Interaction: Providing basic advice on medication usage, side effects, and storage.
3. Inventory Management: Managing stock levels, ordering medications, and ensuring proper storage.
4. Prescription Handling: Receiving and verifying prescriptions, checking for accuracy, and ensuring legal and safety standards are met.
5. Supporting Pharmacist: Assisting pharmacists with complex tasks, such as patient counseling or managing special prescriptions.
6. Dispensing Robot Management: Managing and utilizing the dispensing robot as part of the dispensing process.
7. Dossett Boxes: Involved in dispensing weekly dosset boxes.
All Pharmacy Technicians are expected to ensure high patient care standards and contribute to the pharmacy's overall efficiency.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Essential: NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Technician
* Desirable: Accreditation to provide Enhanced Services, Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician
Experience
* Essential: Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience.
* Desirable: Experience in a Community Pharmacy.
Other Requirements
