Dispatch Operative
Dispatch Operative required for our Moat Farm site near Tonbridge, Kent.
Applicants need to be local to Tonbridge and have their own transport due to the rural location.
Job Purpose
As part of our Dispatch and storage team, you will be moving products between the different areas of our site using forklift and pallet trucks, ensuring products are re-located safely and effectively. In Dispatch, finished goods need to be picked and palletised, making sure they are of the right quantity and transport standards before they get loaded and delivered to our customers.
Job Description
Key responsibilities:
* Follow the daily plan/schedule to prepare orders ready for dispatch to our supermarket and/or wholesale customers.
* Select and manage stock, recording the data by using the ERP software.
* Pick to order, collate and palletise the correct product for each dispatch instruction, as per the daily plan/schedule.
* Applying of pack, case and pallet labels, as required.
* Complete all appropriate stock and traceability paperwork.
* Work closely with the QA, compliance and production team, ensuring that standards are managed within the customer and business specifications.
* Maintain the cleanliness of the facility, according to company protocols and procedures.
* Ensure strict conformance to all site Health & Safety, compliance, and due diligence procedures.
* Actively participate as a member of the dispatch team, providing input to meetings and ongoing business improvements.
* Perform any other duties and responsibilities, as requested by senior management.
Communication
Main internal contacts of the role:
* The Dispatch Manager on a daily basis to discuss the plan for the day, training, issues and concerns with quantity/transport standards, and any other general queries regarding dispatch of products.
* The Operations Manager, Packhouse Manager and QC Manager on a daily basis to discuss training and quality/compliance issues and concerns.
* The Yard Foreman to liaise with, regarding the plan for the day, if applicable.
Working Hours and Benefits
* Full training provided in business procedures and operating protocols, including the operation of powered machinery.
* Standard hours: 07:00 – 19:00 on a 4-days on, 4-days off rota. You will have three unpaid breaks, with a total of 1 hour per day. This equates to 11 working hours.
* Pay Band: £13.70 to £15.69 per hour, depending on experience.
* You will be paid fortnightly.
* Overtime: Extra shifts available, paid at standard rate.
* Holiday allowance: 5.6 weeks (20 days) per annum including bank holidays

Required Knowledge and Skills
* A good understanding of both written and spoken English, to communicate effectively and complete the required business procedures.
* Forklift and powered hand barrow experience is desirable, but not essential, as full training and certification can be provided.
* Previous experience order picking, using ERP software with handheld scanners, would be beneficial.

* Adrian Scripps Ltd is a farming and packing company, based between Tonbridge and Paddock Wood. This role will be located at Moat Farm, Five Oak Green, Tonbridge, Kent, TN12 6RR. Due to location, own transport would be required.
