Regional Director (South Region)
This is an opportunity to join one of the largest auction businesses in the UK in a newly created role. Operating nationally with strong local expertise, the business has experienced significant growth and continues to go from strength to strength.
The South region is experiencing exceptional growth, with the Southwest specifically showing exponential growth year on year. having doubled its business month-on-month year-to-date, with continued expansion expected over the next 12 months.
The Role
The Regional Director will take full commercial and operational ownership of the South region across the Southwest, Kent and Thames Valley, driving continued growth, managing a high-performing office based and remote working team, and strengthening the company’s market presence.
This is a senior leadership position requiring a strong blend of strategic thinking, people management, and business development.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coordinate, and develop a remote team of sales professionals across the South region
* Ensure regular face time with team across the region (regular travel required)
* Set, monitor, and drive KPIs to ensure consistent performance and growth
* Maintain high staff engagement, development and retention
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing team development
* Own and deliver the commercial growth plan for the South territory
* Ensure regional targets and profit margins are consistently achieved
* Identify opportunities to refine processes and improve operational efficiency
* Contribute to wider business strategy and structural evolution during a period of rapid growth
* Leverage an existing client network to generate new instructions and develop the business’ broader contact network
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with estate agents, introducing partners and key stakeholders
* Represent the brand at networking events, industry forums, and speaking engagements
* Drive marketing initiatives that enhance brand presence and lead generation
* Oversee the successful delivery of auction events, through the growth of instruction numbers across the region
* Ensure auction catalogues are consistently stocked with quality assets
* Work collaboratively with teams running:
o Live-streamed auctions (regional events led by auctioneers)
o Weekly national online auctions
* Collaborate closely with senior leadership, reporting into the Managing Director
* Ensure alignment between regional performance and national objectives
About You
Essential Experience
* Extensive experience within the Auction property sector, ideally at Director level (or experienced Associate Director level)
* Proven experience managing and leading teams (in office and remotely)
* Demonstrated success in business development and revenue growth
* Experience building partnerships and representing a brand externally
Qualifications
* Preferably NAVA Propertymark (NAEA/AVSP) or MRICS qualified
Package & Benefits
* Salary up to £80k + performance led discretionary bonus (OTE of circa £170k)
* Hybrid role with regular travel required across the region
* 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
* Hour 9am - 17.30 Monday to Friday - occasional need for flexibility outside or these hours and at weekends
