We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Contextual Safeguarding youth worker. Lancashire are going through a redesign of our approach to contextual safeguarding with the creation of this role being pivotal to the implementation of the new model. You will be working in multi-disciplinary teams, adopting the TCE practice principles to support the development of meaningful relationships with the children and families you are working with.
Lancashire Children's social care are committed to redesigning our approach to contextual safeguarding. As part of the enhancement of the current service, we are recruiting to a number of roles across the county. Posts are available as follows:
1 x East - Burnley, Pendle, Hyndburn, Ribble valley and Rossendale
1 x Central - Preston, West Lancs and South Ribble
2 x North - Fylde and Wyre, Morecambe and Lancaster
In this role, you will be responsible for working with young people who are experiencing and at risk of exploitation and extra familial harm, focusing on the wider context in which they live and addressing the factors that contribute to their vulnerability.
This is a challenging but rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people. If you are passionate about contextual safeguarding and have the skills and experience required, we would love to hear from you.
In return Lancashire County Council offers a range of benefits, which can be found on LCC Vacancies website.
