The Fabrications Site Supervisor will support our client's current fabrication team, in their fabrication facility in Scarva. This post is a permanent position and offers amazing opportunities for any successful candidate who wishes to gain experience within a progressive and dynamic company.
With their Head Office based in Banbridge, our client specialises in the design, supply and installation of a wide range of Off-site Prefabricated solutions for the commercial M&E sectors throughout Ireland and UK.
The following are High Level Key Responsibilities:
1. Checking Goods in and out.
2. Full control over all Employees on site.
3. Manage and schedule workload accordingly in the fabrication facilities.
4. Liaise with Fabrication Co Ordinator to establish the requirements for each project.
5. Liaise with Team Leaders within the Fabrication Facility.
6. Liaise with Fabrication Manger in relation to Labour resources/requirements/training needed.
7. Provide weekly progress report on each project to the Fabrication Manager and Co Ordinator.
8. Read and fully understand the construction drawings for each project.
9. Plan deliveries through dispatch and Logistics.
10. Participate and provide support to the Fabrication Manger with the interview/hiring process.
11. Deliver and complete site inductions, toolbox talks, safety inspections and ensuring overall site safety is up-kept.
12. Ensure company Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
13. Maintaining quality control procedures.
14. Ensuring Weld kits are ready for Fabrication.
15. Complete a daily handover with the Backshift Supervisor.
16. Ensure waste management procedures are adhered to onsite.
17. Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and developed alongside Production Co Ordinator.
18. Update the skills matrix, continuous improvement plan for the Site with the Fabrication Manager.
19. Daily quality checks on Fabricated items and these being recorded.
Essential Criteria
20. Must have at least 3 years' experience as a fabricator, preferably in a site-based environment.
21. Must have at least 1 year experience as Supervisor within a yard or site-based environment
22. Experience of carrying out weld inspections.
23. Computer skills including the ability to operate Microsoft Office & Excel
24. Ability to work under pressure and cope with a varied portfolio of work.
25. Full UK Driving License
