My client, a research and development company specialising in the use of composite materials to produce high-performance structures based in Chippenham, are currently looking for a CNC Machinist with CNC programming and setting experience to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:
• Set up CNC machines according to job specifications, including selecting and installing appropriate tooling and fixtures.
• Program CNC machines using CAM software to generate toolpaths and optimize machining processes.
• Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to quality standards and production requirements.
• Monitor machine operations, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance as needed to ensure smooth production flow.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, including tooling setups, program revisions, and production logs.
Requirements :
• Experience of 3 or 5 axis CNC machining.
• Good attention to detail.
• Practical skills and experience with hand tools and machinery
• Familiarity with engineering drawings.
• Understanding of inspection measuring equipment.
• Have good communication skills
