We’re seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join our social housing client on a minimum 3‑month contract in Liverpool, with strong potential for extension. This hybrid role offers a blend of office and home working, alongside regular patch visits within your dedicated area.
To be considered, you must hold a full driving licence, have access to your own vehicle with valid business insurance, and demonstrate recent experience in a Housing or Neighbourhood Officer role delivering tenancy management within social housing.
Key responsibilities:
1. Manage a patch of general‑needs properties, delivering high‑quality tenancy and estate management services.
2. Carry out estate inspections, tenancy audits, and property visits to maintain safe, well‑kept neighbourhoods
3. Provide practical advice and support to tenants regarding tenancy sustainment, welfare issues, rent concerns, and anti‑social behaviour.
4. Triage and manage your own caseload of low to medium‑level ASB and tenancy breaches, working closely with Enforcement Officers for a cohesive approach.
5. Enforce tenancy conditions where appropriate, including preparing and serving notices.
6. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve positive oues for tenants and the widermunity.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Previous experience as a Housing Officer or Neighbourhood Officer in social housing, delivering tenancy and estate management services.
8. Strong working knowledge of social housing legislation, ASB processes, and tenancy management best practice.
9. Proven experience managing ASB casework.
10. Excellentmunication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with tenants and colleagues.
11. A flexible, adaptable approach and the confidence to manage a varied caseload independently.
