About The Role Our Raw Material Planner will ensure raw materials and packaging are ordered in a timely manner to support the Plant Production Plan. This position will be responsible for controlling stock levels within storage constraints and will also work to minimize material stockouts. Hybrid working - minimum 3 days per week in the Banbury office. Key Responsibilities To run Material Requirements Planning reports in SAP to establish actual demand To create Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for raw materials and packaging to support the plant production plans To expedite purchase orders to ensure delivery and escalate overdue purchase orders to ensure minimum production disruption To manage raw materials stock levels within storage constraints, shelf life and to budget Ensure contracts are available from sourcing in advance of requirements Create transfers from 3PL to site daily To plan and control the Melthouse production to meet internal and external customer requirements. This includes delivery of blocks and ordering inbound external liquor deliveries. To resolve supplier paperwork issues / discrepancies / quality rejections Proactively manage Liquor block flow from Africa to UK, ensuring all documentation is available on arrival General housekeeping in SAP e.g. clearing part purchase orders / highlighting outstanding Process Orders / outstanding Goods Receipting / outstanding Quality Inspections Process Mass Balance transfers for inbound materials Manage supplier OTIF and advise on any risks in weekly S&OE meeting Manage demurrage reports with RCA and attend feedback sessions Control the return of pool pallets (CHEP & Tosca) About You Minimum A-Level qualification or equivalent Degree/professional qualification in Business Management or similar preferred Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role or strong data-driven experience in supply chain, operations, or planning roles Working knowledge of SAP and Excel Strong problem-solving, numeracy and analytical skills Strong stakeholder management and collaborative working style Excellent attention to detail – caring about the detail and getting it right first time Self-starter and able to work autonomously Able to work under pressure and respond to changing priorities Work well within a team setting but also self-motivated At Barry Callebaut, we are committed to Diversity & Inclusion.
