Futures are looking to appoint a Contract Specialist to join a growing and well-established manufacturing business. This role is responsible for managing contracts from initial agreement through to final delivery, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and profitability. You will play a pivotal part in safeguarding commercial interests, overseeing supplier and customer agreements, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities Contract Development & Oversight: Draft, review, and negotiate project contracts, ensuring customer requirements are accurately captured, risks are identified, and appropriate mitigation strategies are in place. Commercial Management: Monitor contract performance against KPIs, ensuring sales margins are maintained while seeking opportunities to increase profitability throughout the project lifecycle. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key contact for contractual matters, providing updates to both customers and internal stakeholders, and representing the company in a professional manner during site visits and meetings. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with sales, production, technical, and engineering teams to agree and deliver programmes that meet contractual and customer requirements. Risk & Compliance: Oversee adherence to contractual obligations, industry regulations, and company standards; address and resolve any disputes or variances. Project & Documentation Control: Manage the collection, storage, and dissemination of contracts, drawings, and documentation, ensuring all information is accurately maintained in contract management systems. Performance Monitoring: Plan and prepare for Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and ensure delivery schedules are met without compromising quality or compliance. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to strengthen contract management processes and enhance efficiency across the contract lifecycle. Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a Contract Specialist or Project Manager in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment. Strong knowledge of contract law, risk assessment, and supplier/customer contract management. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across multiple teams. Commercially astute, with the ability to protect and grow margins while maintaining strong supplier and customer relationships. Proficient in the use of contract management systems, project tools, and IT platforms for documentation and reporting. Degree in Engineering, Business, Law, or a related discipline (preferred).
