We are a busy department providing a wide range of investigations, both invasive and non-invasive.
A team of 8 Cardiologists is supported by Cardiac Physiologists, Assistant Practitioners, Physiologist Helpers, and a Clerical Support Team. The department also includes Specialist Registrars and Nurses specializing in Arrhythmia, Heart Failure, and Cardiac Rehab.
We regularly perform adult and paediatric transthoracic echocardiography, along with advanced procedures such as stress echo (exercise and dobutamine), bubble studies, and contrast echo.
The department conducts a full range of non-invasive and invasive procedures, including a well-established Pacemaker, ICD, and CRT implant and follow-up service.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic, experienced Specialist Cardiac Physiologists to deliver and develop a high-quality service. Candidates should have a BSc. in Clinical Physiology, HNC MPPM, or equivalent, and full accreditation in echocardiography (e.g., BSE or equivalent).

The successful applicant will work with the Principal Clinical Cardiac Physiologist and Cardiology Imaging Consultant to provide Cardiac Physiology Services to Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, ensuring timely, efficient, high-quality, equitable, and cost-effective care.
The post requires a specialist in echocardiography, experienced in all areas of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing, and qualified to full British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) accreditation standards or equivalent. The role includes providing cover in the non-invasive service as needed, along with managerial, health and safety, and educational responsibilities.
