Job Description
As an independent commissioner, you will play a critical role in raising corporate governance standards across the group. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Providing strategic counsel and guidance to the C-Suite team to support organisational goals.
* Ensuring that the business is moving towards to be the best-in-class levels.
* Reviewing and approving key organisational policies and strategies.
* Chairing the audit committee, and overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, compliance and external audits.
* Offering independent oversight to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
* Evaluating financial performance and ensuring long-term sustainability.
* Participating in board meetings to contribute to governance and decision-making processes.
* Providing mentorship to senior leadership for professional growth and development.
* Forming the risk committee that oversees the group's enterprise risk management framework.
* Acting as an ambassador for the organisation within the healthcare sector.
* Ensuring a strong focus on patient outcomes and quality of care
The Successful Applicant
A successful independent commissioner should have:
* Proven leadership experience within the healthcare industry or a related field.
* At least 35+ years of working experience, as a practitioner and/or in the field-related business.
* Willingness to travel to Indonesia once every quarter.
* Our client only accepts the candidates who have graduate with medical degree background, and ideally from top global universities.
* Prior experience as non-executive director will be highly valuable.
* Strong understanding of governance principles and board responsibilities.
* Ability to provide high-level strategic insights and guidance.
* Experience in financial oversight and risk management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
* A passion for improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
