Are you passionate about leading change and want to make a real impact on the future of delivery operations? We’re looking for a Change Deployment Manager to join our Operations Transformation Deployment Team. This is a pivotal role in one of the most ambitious transformations in Royal Mail’s history, as we shift from a letter-led to a parcel-led business model.

About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Change Deployment Manager, you’ll be responsible for deploying transformational change across delivery units. Whether leading revisions or supporting commercial projects, you’ll ensure high-quality, sustainable change that delivers measurable benefits. You’ll work closely with operational managers and union representatives to ensure readiness, engagement, and successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and deliver small to medium-sized unit revisions using tools like GeoRoute and Duty Manager.
* Support larger revisions and commercial projects, ensuring alignment with national agreements.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, communicate, and embed change effectively.
* Monitor progress, manage risks, and report on delivery against project milestones.
* Ensure operational readiness through data validation, stakeholder engagement, and training.
* Complete post-implementation reviews and handovers to business-as-usual teams.

About You

You’re a confident communicator and experienced change agent with an understanding of logistical operations. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are skilled at influencing, coaching, and managing multiple priorities.

What You’ll Bring

* Experience in delivery operations supply chain management, logistics, field services, or similar environments.
* Strong project management, problem solving, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proven ability to lead and support organisational change, ideally in unionized settings.
* Solid IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
* Familiarity with data analysis platforms (e.g., QlikView or similar) is a plus.
* Knowledge of project or change management methodologies (APM PFQ or Prosci certification desirable).

Ideally the successful candidate will be based in the Cumbria area as the role will require travel to various locations in the area.

Extra Benefits

* Family friendly support - enhanced maternity pay, paternity leave, adoption leave and shared parental leave.
* Discounts and offers – 800+ offers to help you save on groceries, days out, holidays and household bills.
* Supportive and generous company sick pay.
* Wellbeing – 24/7 access to services and tools for physical, mental, financial and social support and advice, free for all employees.
* Available only to permanent employees.

Next Steps

The next stage of the selection process will be a face to face interview consisting of competency based and role specific questions. Interviews will be held on 15th and 16th of January at Manchester Mail Centre.

We aim to be transparent about the qualities we seek and what a career with us entails. Your interview is the first step, and we want you to shine. To help prepare, interview questions will be provided in advance.

We understand that candidates may not meet all the criteria for the role. If your experience is different, but you have relevant skills we’d love to hear from you.

Royal Mail Group is committed to inclusion and representing the diverse communities we serve. We welcome applications from all individuals and encourage applications from the Armed Forces community, including cadet instructors and spouses/partners.

We are committed to ensuring an inclusive recruitment process. If you require adjustments to support you during the hiring process, please discuss these with your recruiter.
