Responsibilities for the role of EIA Technical Director include:
11. Manage a number of water-related projects, overseeing them in their entirety, from initial inception through to successful delivery
12. Produce, review, and amend key hydrological, water resource, and peat management Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) chapters for renewable energy, infrastructure, and transportation projects
13. Liaise with and manage a variety of internal and external stakeholders to produce EIA
14. Oversee the preparation and submission of planning applications for an array of projects
15. Actively contribute to business development strategies
Required skills and experience for the role of EIA Technical Director include:
16. A good Initial Degree (with an Upper Second Class Honours or higher) in an environmental or numerate discipline
17. Extensive experience in producing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) in relation to a number of characteristically-different water environments (e.g. rivers, wetlands, etc.)
18. Demonstrable experience of coordinating Environmental Assessments
19. Excellent working knowledge of EIA regulations
20. Highly proficient understanding of the UK Planning System
21. Excellent understanding of flood management and drainage strategies/systems and their uses
22. Highly competent in the use of GIS software packages
23. Experience of leading/managing projects and/or a team of staff
24. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
25. Outstanding numeracy skills
26. Possess a full, valid UK driving licence and your own vehicle
27. Willing to travel across the UK to undertake a variety of projects
28. Possess professional membership of a relevant professional body (or actively working toward this)
Desirable skills and experience for the role of EIA Technical Director include:
29. Hold a Master’s (or higher) Degree in a relevant environmental or numerate discipline
30. Excellent time management and organisation skills
