Location: Hounslow, West London Contract: Full-time, Long-term Start Date: ASAP School type: SEN Primary School We are seeking a passionate, patient and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary setting supporting children with SEN including Autism. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping pupils engage in personalised learning and thrive socially, emotionally and academically. Role Overview As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with additional needs to access a broad and differentiated curriculum. You will work collaboratively with class teachers, therapists and the wider school team to deliver targeted support and nurture pupils' development in a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual pupil needs Assist pupils with communication, social interaction and regulation of emotions Support pupils with personal care requirements where needed Help implement EHCP targets and personalised learning outcomes Collaborate with teachers, therapists and multi-disciplinary staff to adapt activities Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour Experience & Skills You'll Need Previous experience supporting children with SEN Strong understanding of Autism and other learning difficulties Confidence supporting challenging behaviours with patience and resilience Comfortable supporting personal care tasks sensitively Good communication and teamwork skills Awareness of sensory needs and regulation strategies If you are committed to nurturing pupils with SEN and want to be part of a supportive specialist team, we'd love to hear from you.
